Wonderful Devon Restaurant and Hotel

Near the delighful harbourside town of Brixham

The Weary Ploughman Inn was originally built as The Railway Hotel in the 1800s and sits next to Churston Station on the Paignton to Kingswear steam railway line. There have been a few name changes over the years and, just prior to being The Weary Ploughman, it was known as The Churston Links Hotel. At one time it was used as the club house for the  Churston Golf Club – situated just across the main road.

Inside, The Weary Ploughman Inn has been extensively and tastefully upgraded throughout, and provides a relaxed ambience in which to meet up with friends, family or business associates to enjoy a leisurely drink, snack or freshly cooked meal.

The English Riviera in South Devon is an area where local produce is in abundance. Our Head Chef, Chris Snowdon, and his team take real pleasure in turning great quality ingredients, sourced locally whenever possible, into tasty wholesome dishes for you to enjoy.
